How does NanoNest perform in earthquakes?
The unit is engineered to an R=8 seismic rating, designed to withstand strong earthquakes of magnitude 7.0+ by flexing to absorb energy without structural damage.
What is the wind resistance rating of NanoNest?
The unit is engineered to withstand winds of over 150 mph, delivering strength and security in extreme conditions.
Flat roofs don’t work well where it snows.
The roof features a subtle 1.5% slope for efficient drainage, and for regions with heavier rain or snow, we offer custom roof upgrades that can be installed on-site for added protection.
Does this possibly come with solar and water tank for remote situations?
The unit is compatible with a wide range of third-party solar panels, as well as power and water storage systems, giving you flexible off-grid options.
Do you have frosted or translucent glass?
The unit features stunning floor-to-ceiling windows with mirrored or frosted tint, full-length blinds for customizable privacy, and bathroom windows with enhanced tinting for complete opacity and peace of mind.

All utility connections are conveniently located beneath the unit, making setup and access quick and hassle-free.
Is Nanonest an ADU?
Yes! The unit can be classified as both a tiny home or disaster relief housing, offering flexibility for a variety of needs.
What is Not included
Refrigerator, washer & dryer, and furniture are not included, giving you the freedom to choose your own. We recommend keeping electricity draw in mind when selecting appliances.
Snow Capacity
The roof is built from solid steel and aluminum, engineered to withstand over 10,000 lbs (70 lbs per square foot), equal to 3–7 feet of snow. For regions with heavy rain or snow, custom sloped roof options can also be installed on-site for added protection.
Can Nanonest withstand cold weather like in Michigan?
Yes! We offer a version designed for winter climates, featuring NanoNest’s premium insulation package with 2 inches of Rock Wool insulation plus a 1/3-inch bamboo wood fiber board for added warmth and comfort.
